About Mr. Chen
Peter Chen teaches Art and Graphic Design at Ambassador Christian School. He is passionate about how art inherently displays God’s glory in a plethora of ways and is always seeking to cultivate any level of talent his students possess towards that end. Having previously taught in LAUSD, he has also worked as a graphic designer and illustrator for many years. Peter has worked in corporate, agency, non-profit, small business, and freelance environments and is well-versed in a broad spectrum of art and design. As such, he is able to guide students in both traditional and digital mediums all the while maintaining a biblical perspective.
Peter received his BA in Architecture from UC Berkeley, completed additional fine art training at the Academy of Art in San Francisco, and received his M.Ed and Professional Clear Credential from UCLA. A South Bay native, he lives with his wife and son in Torrance and serves as a deacon at his church. Outside the classroom, he enjoys being with family, thinking about the next great art project, and observing the created world.
