About Jason Sluyter

Jason graduated from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ with a B.A. in Theatre. After moving to CA he worked for a company called California Weekly Explorer as a “game show host” presenting educational “Walk Thorugh” programs to elementary school students throughout the state. For the past 15 years Jason has worked with Casie Duvall and the Torrance High School Theatre Department directing and music directing various plays and musicals. He is also an accomplished singer and actor, appearing on stages around the South Bay. Favorite roles include: The Baker (Into the Woods), Pseudolus (A Funny Thing Happened…), Orin Scrivello, D.D.S. (Little Shop of Horrors), Algernon (The Importance of Being Earnest), and Puck (A Midsummer Night’s Dream). Every Christmas season you might see him at Disneyland in Anaheim, CA performing in  A Christmas Fantasy Parade… just look up in the sleigh as it travels down Main Street! 
 
Jason has been married to his beautiful wife, Lesley, for 17 years. She is an English teacher at Torrance High School and the founder and coach of their current debate team. They live in San Pedro, CA with their two wonderful and crazy children, Jacey (8) and Dashiell (5), where they attend Ocean View Baptist Church.
