Ting Yu oversees the Ambassador Summer Internship Program, matching students to businesses that align with their interests and providing training in workplace practices and professional development. 

Born in Taiwan and raised in the South Bay, Ting double-majored in Music and Psychology and received her B.A. from Pomona College in Claremont, CA.  She worked as the Center Director for Score Educational Center after college.  She then attended business school at USC, earning an MBA with a concentration in HR Management.   She was selected and participated in HR leadership development programs at General Electric as well as Raytheon. After business school, Ting became a HR Manager at Raytheon in El Segundo, supporting various engineering functions.

Ting and her husband Michael have three children. Their oldest son Ethan is an Ambassador alum and now attends UCLA. Their daughter Karis is a Junior at Ambassador, and their youngest son Lucas is a 6th grader at Ridgecrest Intermediate School. Ting and Michael both actively serve at their church, Branch of Hope OPC, in Torrance. Ting is also very involved in her children’s school communities, acting as the VP for Ambassador’s PTO Board and the President of Ridgecrest’s Chinese Parent Association. Ting is also a certified piano instructor through the Music Teacher’s National Association (MTNA) and serves as the Membership Secretary for the Music Teachers Association of California (MTAC), Torrance Branch.
