About Bob

Mr. Giampaoli teaches AP Calculus and Physics at Ambassador High School, mentors the ISS team and computer club, and coaches boys volleyball. In addition to his teaching role, Mr. Giampaoli continues to work part time as an Aerospace Engineer in the South Bay. He strives to equip students for success in college and career in the Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics (STEM) fields, while strengthening their relationship with Jesus Christ. He received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, magna cum laude, from the University of Redlands with minors in mathematics and physics, and his Masters of Science in Aeronautical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York. He has worked for 28 years in the space program, contributing to the Galileo spacecraft to Jupiter, the Cassini space craft to Saturn, and the James Webb Space Telescope.

Mr. Giampaoli has been an active member of the Torrance community for over 20 years,serving as AYSO soccer coach and referee, USYVL volleyball coach, and West TorranceHigh School boys volleyball coach. He is an active member of Nova Community Church and trained as a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) member. He lives inTorrance with his wife, Alesia, and son, Jeremy who attends UCLA. He enjoys beach volleyball, cooking, photography, and spending time with family.
